Duncan understands that certainly in the current climate, weddings, parties and private events may have to be resceduled, postponed and in some cases cancelled. This is a fraction of the cost, and can be enjoyed from the comfort of you show so you still get to experience magic at your event. Whilst Duncan is mainly hired as an adult magician in Birmingham, the events he is hired for often have lots of children in attendance. Whilst Duncan is not a children’s magician, he does have several magic routines which are tailored for children. Unlike adults, who are itching to see the magical moment at the end, for children they gain more enjoyment out of the magical journey and the entertainment en route to the final piece of magic. Duncan tailors his close up performances if there are children watching and performs highly visual magic routines with simple plots. Duncan has been performing as a Birmingham magician for over a decade. As a result, he has had the privelege to work with hundreds of alternative acts so has seen some good, some great and some dire. The poor ones are usually non-professional amateurs who have been hired by the client on a very limited budget. 

If you are looking to provide your guests with some fantastic entertainment then, you may consider a Caricaturist. They effortlessly mix and mingle between guests – drawing funny, exaggerated pictures of the them, giving them the picture as a keep sake. Whilst this form of entertainment is not as much fun, nor as interactive as a magician or mind reader, caricaturists to provide a burst of laughter when the sketch is turned round.

Another great from of entertainment at an event is music related. You could consider some signing waiters. They generally pretend they are normal waiters at your event and then erupt into song at the end of dessert. This is great fun and really interactive involving the whole audience. People hire Duncan to perform magic for different periods of time dependent on the kind of party they are hosting. At a wedding, Duncan is traditionally hired for 2 hours. This gives him plenty of time to mix and mingle between your wedding guests. His magic and this length of time is perfectly suited for him to perform to your wedding guests during the wedding photographs, over the wedding breakfast or for the evening entertainment.

Most brides and grooms invite between 50 to 150 guests to their wedding and hiring Duncan as your wedding magician will allow him to get round everyone in that time. 

Duncan can also be hired to perform his after dinner show. This is an interactive show and usually last for approximately 40-45 minutes but can be customised to your requirements. Some clients have hired Duncan for just a couple of WOW! pieces. Duncan’s stage show or cabaret act is modular so can be broken down into 5 minute performance pieces and you can string as many together as you want to fit with your requirements.

(Pre-show means setting something up before the cameras start rolling to make it seem that the magic has just started the minute the TV magician appears on the screen).
